During the Summer

A single Story Time session is held during the summer for children ages infant through 8 years old, on Tuesday mornings from 10:30-11:00 a.m.  The session runs through June and July.  An adult or responsible caregiver of at least 12 years of age must accompany children attending story time.

The Summer Reading program is geared towards children of all ages.  Summer Reading programs are scheduled for Wednesdays during the months of June and July, session one at 9 a.m., and session two at 11 a.m.  (There are exceptions so please be sure to check our calendar.)   Each week, a different performer visits.  Children are also encouraged to continue to read throughout the summer for pleasure, and to reinforce the reading skills they learned at school.  Children can keep logs of the books/time read during the summer, and if completed logs are turned in by the deadline, the children are eligible to receive prizes.  Summer Reading program information (schedules, registration forms, etc.) is available by mid-May each spring.

Movies are shown at different times throughout the summer. Free Popcorn is served.  Be sure to check our schedule and calendar for a complete list.

Other special programs and activities are scheduled from time to time.
