About Digital Valley Center
Digital Valley Center’s purpose is to showcase and make available for public examination and enjoyment, historical photos and documents from the early days of Valley Center, Kansas, the Progressive Women’s Club, and the Valley Center Public Library.
Digital Valley Center is made possible by Valley Center Public Library and the SCKLS Digital Library Initiative. The South Central Kansas Library System hosts a digital library platform for use by its member libraries. Funded in part by the South Central Kansas Library Foundation and an LSTA grant through the State Library of Kansas, this project provides training and support for participating public, school, academic and special libraries to create and maintain their own digital collections.
We would like to thank the Valley Center Historical and Cultural Society, the Little Arkansas Chapter of DAR, and the individuals who have made their historic artifacts available for this digitization project.
