The Valley Center Public Library offers a variety of services.  Many services are available at no charge; there are nominal charges for some services, such as copies, faxes, scanning, test proctor, and notary public, which are due at the time of service.  The Library accepts cash or checks.

Loan periods for items checked out from Valley Center Public Library

  • Children’s/Adult Books – 3 weeks (2 renewals)
  • New/Popular Books with Multiple Patron Holds – 1 week (no renewals)
  • Audio Books on CD/Playaway – 2 weeks (no renewals)
  • Video on DVD – 1 week (no renewals)
  • Launchpads* – 1 week (no renewals)
  • Great Courses* – 2 weeks (1 renewal)
  • Kindles* – 2 weeks (no renewals)
  • Fishing Poles* – 1 week (no renewals)
  • Internet Computers – 1 hour per day (no renewals)
  • Inter-Library Loan – Generally 2 to 3 weeks depending on the lending library (1 renewal may be possible if granted by the lending library)

*Due to the cost of these items, additional borrowing agreements/Kansas ID on file required to borrow – see the Library Staff for assistance

Items with patron holds may not be renewed

You may renew items on line by logging into your account on the Patron OnLine Card Catalog, or you may call the Library at 755-7350.  For items with no renewals left, you may not renew online, you must call the Library to request.
